Airush X Over Overview

The Airush X-Over offers the ultimate blend of carving, jumping and control while being the twintip of choice in surf & heavy chop due the unique shaped ABS rail and bottom shape. The double concave centersection ensures a smooth ride, with the spiral V in the tips enabling the rider to move from rail to rail effortlessly.

COMPARED TO THE PROTOY:
- Rounded rails for improved positive drive when carving.
- Longer length freeride stability.
- Code fins for increased grip.

NEW FOR 2011:
- Reduced weight for 2011 through optimized core
- New Code II fins set for improved grip

RAILS:
- 10mm tucked ABS rails through the center of the board to allow a positive carve. With a hard edge through the last ¼ of the board to keep speed and grip when edging.

ROCKER:
- Three stage rocker with slightly increased rocker in the tip area for clearance and increased turning.

BOTTOM SHAPE:
- Double V Concave into spiral V - This bottom shape was developed with two outcomes in mind. Firstly to enhance the directional stability of the board without the need for massive fins. Secondly to give a positive drive when rolling the board over from the heel edge to the toe edge, when initiating a turn.

OUTLINE:
- A significantly narrower tail with more curve in the rear section of the outline, this is combined with reduced thickness and increased flex in the tip. This enhances turning, maintains stability at speed and improves the ride in chop.

FINS:
- The Code II fin provides maximum grip for rail to rail carving and stability at speed, this is due to the raked design and the significantly cutaway trailing edge.

Multizone Biotech:
- The Airush Multizone Biotech construction is a vertical wood core sandwich comprising of a dual density Balsa and Poplar core with ABS rail and tips, the higher density poplar stringer creates a hyper responsive center section while the outer balsa section minimize the weight. Our wood cores are renowned for their response, durability and smoothness, and are combined with a versatile tri axial laminate, for all-round performance and durability.

The new AFT 3 SW strap and pad system has been re-engineered from 2010, harmoniously incorporating the AFT 2 molded pad system and the renowned comfort of the AFT switch strap.
