7) Will I stay completely dry in my Pyro Surf drysuit?
The water pressure associated with wipeouts can force small amounts of water past the seals of the suits. Improved dryness can be achieved by wearing gloves, boots and a hood that lay over the latex seals to keep any water seeping in past the seal. Additionally, during a prolonged session you are likely to sweat inside your suit and your undergarments may become damp. Ocean Rodeo recommend layering self-wicking undergarments such as polypropylene fleece to keep you warm and your body dry.

Murray Aldrich:

North Kiteboarding / KiteboardingUK.com Team Rider Murray Aldrich. Murray became our shop sponsored rider in 2005 and soon with our help, progressed to a Full North UK team rider. He has also been very lucky to travel extensively to many Kite camps and North training sessions. He is currently being mentored and trained by the Senior North riders including Dave Ibbertson current UK mens BKSA champion and the likes of Jamie Herraiz. Murray and his dad attended our kiteboarding school in 2004 and took the IKO BKSA 3 day course. Murray quickly fell for the sport, while dad Mark became Kite caddy and support team. We soon picked up on Murray's ability and enthusisiam and combined to support him on the BKSA tour.
Murray has his own page in our Kiteboarding UK Forum, where you can ask him questions and check out what he has been up to.

Vicki Heather :

Vicki Heather: Slingshot/Nobile boards 2006/07 Kiteboarding UK team rider. In 2006 Vicki came third overall in the UK BKSA Kitesurfing championship tour....We first met Vicki in 2004 when she attended our kite school for IKO BKSA kiteboarding tuition. Soon kiteboarding took over her whole life and since then she has become a IKO/BKSA Instructor and then onto building a solid repertoire of tricks. Nowadays everything is about training to compete in the UK BKSA tour.. We wish her all the best and hope we can support her and help her in achieving her goals. After sticking with us showing her reliability and solid work ethic Vicki was rewarded with a full sponsoreship deal with Slingshot UK and now comes under there full wing. So thats great news.
Vicki has her own page in our Kiteboarding UK Forum, where you can ask her questions and check out what she has been up to. .

Past Riders :

Ric Burton: North kiteboards Kiteboarding UK team rider 2004. We first met Ric and his dad when they both attended our kite school and took the IKO BKSA 3 day course in 2000. They both started using the 2000 Cabrinha CO2 kites. Ric became heavily involved with KiteboardingUK and was one of our more regular attending members frequently seen at Kessingland club days. In 2004 we sponsored Ric with North kiteboards and while he continued using his Cabrinha C02 kites. Ric Burton was unfortunately tempted away from us way to early in his kiteboarding career. And now rides for another shop. However we still remain in close contact with him and still kiteboard with him frequently.

Ric continues in his goal to compete and his kiteboarding is an inspiration to us. You can find him regularly at Lowestoft, Kessingland, Sea Palling but mostly Hunstanton. Good Luck for the future Ric.

Over the years we have been lucky enough to have been visited and supported by many great Kiteboarding names. Some we see frequently on our beaches. Some not so frequently. We would like to say a big Thank You to the riders for their support to date.
We would also like to wish our team riders all the best for 2009 and if you bump into them at an event please say Hello and wish them luck.

Sarge IKO BKSA Instructor

Sarge (Trevor Sergeant) owns KiteboardingUK. He is a skilled IKO BKSA Instructor and has been instructing for some years now! He rides and tests all different kiting brands and has had many favourite kites including the Takoon Skoop and Best Waroo . He can be found all over the UK and travels Worldwide spreading his love for kiteboarding!

Local Riders - Stubbie :

We have a great crew of local riders here in Lowestoft! Many of them represent KiteboardingUK and are attending events across the UK. This is a picture of Stubbie (Paul Stebbings) coming joint first in the wave riding event at Gwithians 2008. Stubbie rides Cabrinha and is mostly found ripping up the surf around Lowestoft and the UK! Keep up the good work Stubbie!

Sophie:

Sophie is doing well and has an aggressive approach to the water. Sophie rides a 2009 Best Nemesis so keep an eye out for her at Lowestoft, Sea Palling or Walberswick! Keep up the good work Sophie!

Essence4Music

Essence is a singer and DJ originally from Kent who flies on land mostly with Flexifoil Blades. She is taking to the water this summer on a Tribal F One (Sophies old kite), so watch this space!!
